ICC T20 Rankings 2016 World Cup

2016 ICC world T20 will be played in India from 11th March to 3rd April 2016. Like all the other world cups and other major tournaments, ICC rankings are also very important to qualify for the world cup and also to make place in important rounds. There will be two rounds in the ICC T20 world cups and the teams are selected in these two rounds on the basis of their T20 rankings.





There are two test playing nations, Bangladesh and Zimbabwe, which are on the position of 9 and 14 respectively on the ICC T20 rankings. Due to their low rank, these two test playing countries will have to play the 1st round of T20 world cup 2016. The other 8 top teams of the T20 cricket have already qualified for the 2nd or main round of the tournament.


These 8 teams with rank 1 to 8 respectively in ICC T20 rankings along with their ratings are Sri Lanka (135), India (124), Australia (122), West Indies (117), Pakistan (114), South Africa (111), New Zealand (107) and England (103). There is very little different in the ratings among all these teams and the position could change between these teams before the start of the ICC T20 world cup 2016.
